The 51³Ō¹Ļ Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors recently appointed Dunstable resident Nancy A. Dias ā09, ā13G as its newest member. A 51³Ō¹Ļ double Viking and volunteer, Dias brings significant professional expertise and institutional insight to the board of directors.
āIām proud to be a Salem State alumna, as I wouldnāt be where I am today without my higher education degrees from such an exceptional institution,ā Dias said. āThe foundationās strategic priorities to accomplish its mission of engaging with the community, inspiring philanthropy and stewarding resources to invest in student success align with my personal values.ā
A certified public accountant, Dias works as assistant treasurer and officer for Geode Capital Management Trust Company, LLC, a global asset manager headquartered in Boston. There, she oversees more than $50 billion in assets under management and annually recommends changes to the companyās business and capital plan for the boardās approval.
The 51³Ō¹Ļ Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that raises and manages charitable gifts in support of the university through active fundraising and advocacy. Its 21-member board of directors includes alumni and community leaders who steward contributed private funds. Diasā 17 years of professional experience will add value to the foundationās investment committee, which assists the board of directors in overseeing the foundationās investment portfolio.

As a student, she was a campus leader who consistently made the Deanās List and various honor societies, reflecting her academic achievements. We are grateful that as an alumna, sheās chosen to give back to Salem Stateāand now, this new appointment offers Nancy and the foundation an opportunity to partner together to further the mission of the foundation and deepen the financial investment in all students on campus.ā
